Could you tell me about the Supra's powertrain options?
After being thoroughly tested and perfected, the Supra earned its "GR" badge which stands for Gazoo Racing. There are two turbocharged engine options offered for the 2021 model year. The first of the two engines is a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six that pumps out up to 382 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque, a significant boost for the 2021 model year. The second engine offered is a 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged inline-four that generates up to 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. This engine is brand new for the 2021 model year! Toyota pairs both of these engine options with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Can you talk about the Supra's handling?
The Supra's wide platform boasts superior vehicle stability. Paired with the wide stance is a precisely calculated wheelbase for a chassis that delivers unparalleled agility, high-speed comfort, and instant communication between the driver and the road. This vehicle also has unbelievable underbody aerodynamics! Each model has a specially crafted falt undercover that was specifically engineered to deliver reduced aerodynamic lift. Any air that finds its way under the Supra is redirected with specially crafted spats and channels. This helps the sports car feel planted and stable at all speeds!
Could you talk about some of the features the Supra offers?
The 2021 Supra comes loaded with some excellent features. On the outside, the Supra comes with 18-inch split-spoke wheels that come wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport summer tires that specially developed, a unique cat-back exhaust, and the double-bubble roof that allows for more headroom inside the cabin while simultaneously reducing drag and optimizing airflow. Moving inside, the Supra was built for drivers with deeply bolstered seats, console-mounted side knee padding, an 8.8-inch high-resolution display with a three-dimensional tachometer, and a sport steering wheel.
Can you share some of the technology features?
The Supra comes with Supra Connect, an advanced technology suite that is designed to help the driver get the most out of their Supra model. Features included in this suite are Battery Guard, Roadside Assistance and Concierge Service, Real-Time Traffic Information, and Automatic Emergency Call. Each Supra model also comes with Apple CarPlay, integrated navigation with turn-by-turn directions, Qi-compatible wireless charging, and a head-up display.
