2021 Toyota Venza vs Chevy Blazer

Buying a brand new SUV is an exciting time as it gives drivers the thrill of a new vehicle in their driveway with all the latest features. The problem is with so many different makes and models of SUVs out there; it can be hard to know which one is best for you and your family. We here at Pearson Toyota want to help, which is why we have taken two of the most impressive SUVs on the market in the 2021 Toyota Venza and the Chevy Blazer and compared their engine options and features, so you get a better idea of which one you should be driving home!

2021 Toyota Venza Power & Handling

All versions of the 2021 Toyota Vezna come with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that comes with two electric motors and sends the 219 horsepower to a continuously variable automatic transmission. The Venza comes standard with all-wheel-drive, and there is a single rear motor that provides power to the rear wheels when you need the extra traction, which is a similar setup to other Toyota SUVs. Additionally, the Toyota Venza is terrific on gas as you can get up to 39 mph when you combine city and highway driving. The ride is also one of the smoothest on the road!

2021 Chevy Blazer Power & Handling

There are a couple of engine options available for the Chevy Blazer. The first is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that gets you 193 horsepower and connects to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive comes standard, but you do have the option of all-wheel-drive if you choose. There are two optional engines available for the Blazer, including a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a V6. Both of which provide you with a significant amount of power. While there is a lot to love about these engines, we are more impressed with the smooth ride and terrific gas mileage of the Toyota Venza.

2021 Toyota Venza Features & Design

There are three trim levels available with Toyota Venza, and you get an impressive amount of tech, safety, and luxury features. Things start nicely with the LE trim, which comes with 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, an 8-inch touchscreen display, a push-button ignition, keyless entry, and dual-zone automatic climate control. You also get wireless smartphone charging, a hands-free liftgate, and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. Several safety systems are also available, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, and lane departure alert. The XLE ups things a bit with front and rear parking sensors, roof rails, 19-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The top trim level is the Limited, which rounds things out with some amazing features such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen, digital rearview mirror, heated and ventilated seats, a full simulated leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and a 360-degree camera system.

2021 Chevy Blazer Features & Design

The Chevy Blazer has a few more trim levels, but the features are a touch less plentiful. The base trim is the L which comes with 18-inch wheels, a six-speaker audio system, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 1LT adds to this with a satellite radio, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and tinted rear windows. The LT range continues with heated outside mirrors, a blind-spot monitor, and power-adjustable front seats. More sporty features are found on the RS, such as 20-inch black-painted wheels, a special black grille, a heated steering wheel, an upgraded touchscreen, and a programmable liftgate. The highest trim level is the Premier, which rounds things out with an upgraded eight-speaker audio system, a cargo management system, driver-seat memory settings, heated outboard rear seats, ventilated front seats, and a power-adjustable steering column.

Conclusion:

There is a lot to like about both of these SUVs, but in the end, we are going to give the victory to the 2021 Toyota Venza. We like the ride quality of the Venza, the superior gas mileage, and the numerous tech features. Want to take a test drive of the Venza?
