What's under the hood of the 2022 Corolla Cross?
There is one engine option available for the 2022 Corolla Cross, but it's certainly an outstanding one! Under the hood is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that pumps out an impressive 169 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs nicely with a continuously variable automatic transmission, which delivers a smooth ride to the driver and passengers. Front-wheel-drive comes standard, though all-wheel-drive is available on all trims. One of the best things about the Corolla Cross is its outstanding fuel economy, as those with front-wheel-drive will experience 31 mpg in the city and up to 33 mpg on the highway. What are some of the features of the Corolla Cross?
There are three trim levels available for the 2022 Corolla Cross, and all of them come with features that will make all other SUVs jealous. Things start with the base L trim, which has some wonderful standard features such as a 7-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, cloth seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a single front-mounted USB port, four cupholders, and a 6-speaker stereo. The LE adds more welcome features, including alloy wheels, automatic climate control, blind-spot warning, smart-key access, and a larger 8-inch touchscreen. Last, but not least, is the XLE which rounds out the Corolla Cross nicely with some more unique features such as 18-inch wheels, a rear center armrest with two cupholders, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, a 10-way power driver seat, and heated front seats.

Every trim level of the Corolla Cross is designed to keep you safe no matter where your travel. Standard are nine airbags strategically placed throughout the cabin and will protect you in case of a crash. You also get lane-keeping assist, keeping your Toyota Cross in between the painted lines if you happen to drift outside of them. Also standard is full-speed adaptive cruise control which will help you maintain a pre-set distance between your SUV and the vehicle in front of you. There is also a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-path detection, which will monitor the areas beside or behind the Corolla Cross and help you make better lane changes. We also have to mention the spectacular automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection.
