What powers the 2022 Sienna?
Toyota has made a bold decision to make the 2022 Sienna a hybrid-powered vehicle only. So under the hood is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that runs on 87 octane gasoline and comes with one electric motor if you go with front-wheel-drive or two if you select all-wheel-drive. These motors provide energy through a hybrid battery pack. All of this combines to output 245 horsepower while connecting to an automatic transmission. The Sienna can tow as much as 3,500 pounds when properly equipped.
What are the Features of the 2022 Sienna?
With six available trim levels, you know that the Sienna is going to come loaded with features. Starting things off is the base LE which has 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights/taillights, heated side mirrors, powered sliding side doors, keyless entry/ignition, and 3-zone automatic climate control. Also coming standard is an eight-way adjustable driver's seat, second-row shades, and cloth upholstery. As for tech, the LE comes with a 9-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Wi-Fi, and Amazon Alexa capability. The XLE is next, and it adds more impressive features such as LED fog lights, hands-free side door operation, powered tailgate, 4-zone automatic climate control, simulated leather upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Finally, new to the Sienna Lineup is the Woodland Edition which is undoubtedly the most exciting of the bunch as it comes with standard all-wheel-drive, navigation, JBL audio, two 120-volt outlets, roof rails with crossbars, heated front seats, long-slide second-row captain's chairs, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Higher trims round things out nicely with some more spectacular features, including wireless charging, heated/ventilated front seats, leather seating surfaces, power-adjustable steering column, third-row shades, and a heads-up display. That's a lot of features for a minivan!
What Safety Features can we Expect for the Sienna?
While the Sienna is undoubtedly impressive in the power and features department, where it makes its money is in the number of safety systems it has! Regardless of the trim levels you go with, you will be treated to several standard safety systems, including forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, active lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and radar-based adaptive cruise control.
