Tundra's next-generation Crawl Control system helps you smoothly and quietly take on rugged terrain. With a simple push of the button, this advanced system automatically controls the throttle and brakes on five low-speed settings, so you can keep your focus on navigating rugged terrain. When you're in the thick of it, the Multi-Terrain Select system helps regulate the wheelspin by automatically adjusting the engine throttle and traction control. In 4x4 low and high range, a quick turn of the dial toggles between terrain modes: Mud, Sand, Rock, Mogul, or Auto. Tundra's electronically locking rear differential for TRD Pro, and TRD Off-Road Packages evenly distributes engine power to both rear wheels. Once the system is engaged, both rear wheels move at the same speed and provide more grip in low-traction conditions.

The 2023 Tundra is a hauling machine with advanced towing tech that works its magic. After you plug the trailer into Tundra's 7-pin connector, the system calculates its length without input from the driver. And with two TOW/HAUL modes, Tundra can adjust throttle response based on what you're towing. In addition, Tundra's Adaptive Variable Suspension automatically adjusts the rear to help it stay level when hauling a heavy load. This system also lets you choose three manual height modes: High for slow-speed, off-road driving; Low to help with loading and unloading; and Normal for everyday driving.
