The first trim level available for the 4Runner is the SR5, and it, like all versions of the 4Runner, comes with a 4.0-liter V6 engine that gets you 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs with a five-speed automatic transmission, and the first five trims come with rear-wheel-drive with four-wheel-drive as an available option, while all other trims come standard with four-wheel-drive. Now it's time we talk about the features of the SR5! Standard on this trim are LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, roof rails, a power rear window, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Then there are the tech features! The SR5 comes with a large 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. But wait, that's not all! The SR5 is made for off-roading as it gives you underbody skid plates. Then there are the safety systems available, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, and lane departure warning.

Building off the SR5 is the Trail Special Edition, which will provide you with some exciting features such as a Yakima roof rack, dark-painted wheels to go along with darker exterior trim, a portable beverage cooler, and a sliding rear cargo deck with underfloor storage. If you're planning on heading deep into the wilderness, the Trail Special Edition is what you're going to want to have with you!

If you're looking for something sportier, the TRD Sport is for you! It comes with a sportier suspension that has firmer on-raod handling. Also coming standard is a hood scoop, and a Toyota Racing Development branded interior trim. With this trim, you also get simulated leather upholstery and heated front seats.

Now we get to the premium and luxurious version of the SR5. It has more exciting features such as a push-button start, SofTex faux leather seats, navigation, heated mirrors, a universal garage door opener, a power-adjustable passenger front seat, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and keyless entry and ignition. Several options are also available for the SR5 Premium, including a sunroof!

If you want to do some extreme off-roading, you're going to want to take a look at the TRD Off-Road and the TRD Off-Road Premium. On these trims, four-wheel-drive comes standard, and you get more terrific off-road equipment such as 17-inch wheels, Crawl Control, a locking rear differential, Multi-Terrain Select, and TRD Off-Road floor mats. On the TRD Off-Road Premium, you get all of these features plus the features from the SR5 Premium.

With the Limited, you are getting the luxury version of the Toyota 4Runner as it comes with 20-inch wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, perforated leather seats, a power moonroof, JBL 15-speaker premium audio, heated and ventilated front seats, X-REAS sport suspension, and front and rear parking sensors.

For the most off-road equipment, we highly recommend the TRD Pro! Several amazing off-road features are available, and you get all of the luxury items from the Limited trim as standard. For off-roading, the TRD Pro comes with TRD Fox high-performance off-road suspension, a unique Toyota front grille and skid plate, 17-inch TRD wheels, and a TRD roof rack. This is on top of the standard four-wheel-drive, Crawl Control, and Multi-Terrain Select. The Toyota 4Runner is clearly one of the best off-road vehicles around!
